LEND A HELPING HAND TO THE SANCTUARY

Chapman Sanctuary and Visny Woods can always use and appreciates a helping hand.
Sandwich, New Hampshire and our neighboring towns are very fortunate to be chock full of talented, dedicated people who have so much to share.

There is always a need that can be filled by your unique talent,  knowledge, craft or skill...
  • Gardeners with an hour or two to spare.
  • Hikers / trail walkers / XC Skiers & Snow Showers who can help with trail maintenance.
  • Farm owners who can share their knowledge and management techniques of the diverse plants, trees and other vegetation in the area.
  • Naturalists, birders and wildlife enthusiasts who would lead a guided trail walk or educational program.
  • Birder lovers who might help fill feeders occasionally or volunteer on our birdhouse building days.
  • Landscapers with time and tools to share.
  • Schools who have community service requirements that can be met by volunteering in nature at a beautiful bird & wildlife sanctuary.
  • Woodworkers / carpenters who could help maintain and preserve the historic Chapman House with small or large repairs or improvements.
  • Have any ideas?   We would love to hear them.

A LOT OR  A LITTLE ... any amount of sharing, caring, effort or knowledge is helpful and directly benefits the birds, wildlife and the natural environment that CSVW  strives to maintain and improve.
  • Join us for specific projects outside in nature or at the Chapman House.   Some projects are bigger than others and your skills could be so helpful.
  • Drop in with a friend or alone to care for even just 1 small area of the gardens this summer.  Or join us for a scheduled day of group gardening maintenance.
  • Pick up small branches you come across as you hike the lovely trails.
  • SIGN IN AT THE VISITORS KIOSK this small act alone is hugely important us.

THANK YOU!
CSVW is so thankful for the wonderful community that we are part of here at the foothills of the White Mountains and just up the road from Squam Lake.  The diverse natural beauty of this area and the people we can count on as friends and neighbors is a special thing.  We appreciate you and we thank you!
CSVW PROJECTS

GARDEN MAINTENANCE
This is an important and ongoing need.
CSVW would love to have your help in keeping the gardens and grounds thriving.  Our gardens are highly beneficial to some crucial pollinators in the area, as well as local birds & wildlife.
Can you help us keep this critical resource alive?
