WHOOOO DOESN’T LOVE OWLS?! Everyone loves owls! But how many of us have ever seen a live owl up close? You may have heard owls hooting in the distance near your home or have seen one fly across the road at night. Seeing these beautiful creatures in person and learning about their mysterious lives is an experience that you will treasure! |

JOIN US! as Marcia Wilson and Mark Wilson of EYES ON OWLS share their knowledge and passion for owls!
Mark’s slide show kicks off the event with stunning photographs of his scientific and personal work with owls all over the world; and right here in New Hampshire.
BRING ON THE OWLS!
Next we will meet the gorgeous owls LIVE and UP CLOSE as Mark (author/photographer) and Marcia (teacher/naturalist) present them one at a time. Marcia will walk out among us in the audience carrying each owl perched safely on her arm. These experienced owl experts will introduce you to the mysterious and marvelous owls of New England and beyond.
You might never get this close to an owl again!
There will be lots of time for close-up views of the beautiful owls, photo opportunities and questions from the audience. We all will learn something new as we share our own owl experiences and have a great time talking with the Wilsons about these magnificent birds of prey.
Together we will learn:
Each owl presented has a permanent disability which prevents them from surviving on their own in the wild. These non-releasable owls are captivating ambassadors from the world of wildlife. The Wilsons are legally permitted by state and federal agencies to use live owls in their environmental educational programs.
As a wild bird sanctuary, CSVW is particularly thankful for their efforts in caring for these amazing animals.

The Wilsons as well as many towns in the area, are promoting Home Rule petitions banning Second Generation Anticoagulation Rodenticides (SGARs) on public property. Mark & Marcia talk about this danger to owls and other species at every public program and in schools in an effort to spread the word. |
